Tips to Complete Tasks with EdulingAI
EdulingAI is a chatbot developed by Eduling to carry out language tasks with learners. EdulingAI differs from other common chatbots in that it is developed to optimize conditions for promoting language development through interactive language tasks. The outstanding features of EdulingAI compared to other chatbots are shared below.

Outstanding Features of EdulingAI
Natural Interaction: Expressive voices and fast response speed.
Translation Support: Built-in translation button to assist with listening and comprehension.
Flexible Interaction Modes: Three interaction modes available: hand-free speaking (no button press needed), push-to-send, and typing to reply.
Negotiation of Meaning and 3 Types of Language Feedback
EdulingAI negotiates meaning when your ideas are unclear. EdulingAI will say it doesn't understand or prompt you to speak again. This is an opportunity for you to rephrase your language. Sometimes you need to speak louder, clearer, or use longer sentences to express your meaning.
EdulingAI can provide corrective feedback on your language when you make a mistake through three main types:
Recast: Restates your incorrect sentence using correct language forms, or says Do you mean or Don't you mean followed by the correct sentence. This gives you a chance to restate it correctly or simply answer yes, while also reviewing your transcript to see what went wrong.
Elicitation: When you make a mistake, EdulingAI may prompt you to speak again by repeating the first two or three words of your incorrect sentence so you can expand your statement using correct grammar. This is an opportunity to look back at what you said and self-correct.
Explicit Correction: EdulingAI provides the correct form and says, In English, we say… This explicitly points out the error so you can restate it correctly, say yes, or ask the chatbot a question.
Note: Some user feedback suggests that Recast and Elicitation can sometimes be a bit hard to understand. Try pausing and paying closer attention to why EdulingAI does this. We will continue researching to make these feedback types more natural, effective, and balanced between meaning and linguistic form.
Tasks with EdulingAI: Tasks on the Eduling app are diverse and goal-oriented, requiring you to use language to achieve a communicative objective. These include:
Practicing conversation, expanding grammar, and vocabulary using the feedback mechanisms mentioned above.
Listening and demonstrating comprehension by answering short questions.
Brainstorming ideas for speaking or writing.
Practicing for Parts 1, 2, and 3 of the IELTS speaking interview.
Practicing writing for IELTS Task 1 and Task 2.
Receiving detailed linguistic analysis, especially for 2-minute speaking tasks and writing pieces (see details below).

Understanding Feedback for 2-Minute Speaking and IELTS Writing
When you finish speaking or writing and submit your work, EdulingAI provides a short general feedback summary.
Three detailed information buttons will then appear: Overview, Corrections, and Vocabulary.
Overview: Shows key metrics of your speech or writing, such as task completion/performance, lexical richness (unique words vs. total words), accuracy, number of revisions, speaking speed, and estimated IELTS or CEFR level.
Corrections: You'll see your original text followed by evaluation of individual sentences. Incorrect segments are underlined with the red color; tapping them reveals the correction. There's also an English explanation of the error that can be translated into your native language. A fully corrected version is shown at the end.
Vocabulary: Analyzes which words in your submission are common, less common, or least common.
You can continue chatting with EdulingAI about your speaking or writing while or after reviewing the feedback.
See the article about speaking speed and fluency here.

Detailed feedback and interactive follow-ups are designed to draw your attention to the feedback, prompt deeper processing for future improvement, and let you retry the task to check your progress. Caution: Do not memorize texts or read scripts written by others or other AI tools.

History
A very useful feature of Eduling is the ability to review your history for all activities under History. You can repeat any activity multiple times, and each attempt maintains its own separate history.
Level Tests
Eduling offers a Speaking Level Test and a Mock IELTS Interview. Please note that these tests only provide an estimate, but you can do your best to see where EdulingAI predicts you currently stand to understand how much time you need to spend to increase your score.
